Orvis Helios D 8'5" #8

What an amazing little rod. I purchased this short Orvis 8 weight primarily for close contact mangrove fishing for Barramundi. What a treat this rod is, all the talk about the improved version of this model was spot on. Its superlight in the hand. The build is magnificent, and I can tell you it gets the heavy Barra Bunny fly right where I want it with ease. The style of fishing we do here in the mangroves always calls for tight loops at short distance and accuracy is key. The Orvis Helios D 8'5" is a perfect rod for this application.
